What's your screenome?

Visualizing data around us

About

A data visualization on how we can know a person's identity just by their screen time and heart rates during a weekend.

ROLE

Data Visualization Designer

TIMELINE

1 week

LOCATION

Sweden

challenge

Everything we use to share data these days, my approach is through showing human body leaking. What if we leak data to inspire Interaction designers to design with intention?

The concept of involuntary data sharing is translated to leaking data. Someone is always watching.

outcome

"Screenome" is a play on the word "genome," which refers to the unique set of genetic material that every living organism contains. It's about more than the total quantity of time you spend on your screen. It's about what you actually do during the hours, minutes and seconds you spend on your screen. The screenome refers to your unique collection of screens that you see on an hourly, daily, weekly and yearly basis.

Process

Research on the App function to find clues, 75 pages of heart rate, and screen time during the weekend. Correlate screen time on a particular app and heart rate and tell a story from it.

Reflection

A fun exercise and make me think about the relationships between data and privacy.
